Relaxing at Batemans bay

After a couple of days of long distance riding I decided to spend three days relaxing at Batemans bay. Batemans Bay for those of you who don't know is a quaint little seaside town on the South coast of NSW. To put it in perspective Canberra is approximately 2 hours drive inland.

This seagull show knows how to relax.

The YHA I am staying at has a small pool and I have been going for a swim in the heat of the afternoon. I have been going for walks into the shopping center and later on today I intend going for a walk along the beach.

Yesterday I went to the movies and watched a very clever movie called Shutter Island staring Leonardo De Capro, if you like suspense then go see this movie, It is similar to many Alfred Hitchcock movies I have seen I won't spoil the story however it is set in a 1950 Mental Institution and De Capro is a federal Marshal investigating the disappearance of a inmate.

Tomorrow I will ride over to Canberra, I was going to go To Cooma however I need to get my Spyder serviced and couldn't get it checked in till Friday, so I will stay in a Camp Grounds for a couple of days and then head up to cooma on Friday and do the walk to the top of Mount Kosciusko on Saturday morning.

  1. Kosciuszko should be a piece of piss after that hike up Glenbrook Creek, along the track that used to be there 25 years ago...
