Two Days In Bello

I haven't had Internet Access since I Left Glen Innes, The ride across over the top of the Great divide via The Gwydir Highway was awesome, I still find it amusing what we Australians call a Highway, having said that what a ride the spyder handled the road surface, which was of reasonable quality and of course it ate up the corners remember to take some warm clothes it was very fresh even though it is summer. On the outskirts of Glen Innes are standing stones which a very similar to Stonehenge, see the photos. I had breakfast a Mac Craps in Grafton then went to Belingen via Dorrigo.

I highly recommend the
YHA at Belingen and do spend some time exploring the Dorrigo wildness. One of the fellows that Works at Bellingen YHA took a group of us for a three hour bush walk through the rain forest at $35 dollars for the day it was money well spent, to be honest I liked Bellingen better than Byron Bay and could easily spend a week there.

After I left
Bellingen I rode via the Pacific Highway to the out skirts of Port Macquarie and then I took the Oxley Highway into Tamworth, It was a big ride today close to 300 km, my butt was a bit sore by the time I finished the ride, The oxley is another brilliant bike ride one of the best I have been on to date once again it runs over the top of the great dividing ranges so it was a little chilly in the shade, there was a little traffic and I would recommend caution as there are logging trucks that work this road during the week.

A warning DO NOT STAY at
Armidale YHA, I had booked a room online and when I arrived It seemed pleasant enough, the lady in the office was very friendly, she gave me my room key and it went down hill from there she had put me in a room with three dodgy old derros and one of them abused me, I wasn't very impressed and left and gave the lady the key back, the rooms where tiny and there were no lockers and the old guys stank...not happy Jan, the lady did offer me my money back. Usually YHA hostels are of a very high standard, not Armidale.
